Anyone who joins Ajax as a Sea Scout will be able to row or “pull” (and probably cox) a dinghy or gig within no time.
Ajax regularly hosts the National Sea Scout Pulling and Canoeing Regatta attracting Scout Troops from all over the country. Our own Sea Scouts compete particularly well, and owe their success to regular training and exceptional teamwork.
By the time Scouts have progressed to Explorers, they have attained the skill and ability to complete a challenging row (rather than the more common weekend hike) as part of the The Duke of Edinburgh Award
Since its inception, Ajaccios have completed the annual 21.6 mile Great River Race.
