Ajax boats berthed at Chichester help provide coastal experience

Located on the banks of the river Thames, this first class facility provides the perfect base for a wide range of water activities – and for regular Ajax meetings.

Founded in 1948, Ajax is one of only 100 Sea Scout Groups in the United Kingdom to be officially recognised by the Royal Navy. The Group is also an authorised Royal Yachting Association Training Centre.

This allows Ajax to teach and to award nationally recognised boating qualifications. The Group also has access to facilities on the south coast which enable Ajax Sea Scouts and Explorer Sea Scouts to gain tidal experience and further boating qualifications.
